„A avut toate vaccinurile și rapelurile”

On her SiriusXM radio show Tuesday, Megyn Kelly laughed at her former NBC colleague Savannah Guthrie, who left NBC’s Astăzi mid-broadcast after testing positive for Covid. “Do you believe they’re like canceling her, she’s running home from the set,” Kelly said. “Covid! I mean, at this point, seriously?”

Kelly, care a servit pentru scurt timp ca co-gazdă la Astăzi during her failed stint at NBC, expressed surprise that Guthrie—who NBC said had not been feeling well Tuesday morning—would even take a Covid test. “Like, is anyone still even testing for Covid?” Kelly asked.

“I mean, it’s amazing to me. These guys are leftists and it’s amazing to me to see how the leftists still live. Like under the grip of Covid, terrified,” Kelly said, adding that “this is reportedly Savannah’s third bout of Covid, and I guarantee you she’s had all the vaccines and the boosters, because you won’t be able to go into 30 Rock without them,” referring to NBC’s New York City headquarters.

NBC hired Kelly away from Fox News in January 2017 in a deal reported to pay Kelly $17 million a year and make her one of NBC’s marquee stars. But Kelly never fit in at the network, getting poor reviews and tepid ratings for both a prime time magazine show and Kelly’s branded version of Astăzi’s third hour. She also generated controversy, making comments about blackface costumes in a light-hearted segment on Halloween costumes that were widely seen as racist.

Miercuri dimineață, Astăzi’s fill-in hosts said they were sending Guthrie wishes for “a speedy recovery,” and then they addressed the continued absence of co-host Hoda Kotb, who last appeared on the show February 17 and has been away without explanation. “As for Hoda, we know a lot of you have been asking how she’s doing,” said NBC’s Craig Melvin. “We can tell you, Hoda’s OK. She’s got a family health matter she’s been dealing with.”
