Wordle-ul de astăzi #518 Sfaturi, indicii și răspunsuri pentru sâmbătă, 19 noiembrie

I have a bone to pick with Wordle Bot today. I won’t get to that up here in the non-spoiler section of this post, however. I just wanted to let you all know that bones will be picked below, and I do mean picked.

It’s another lovely, cool, crisp winter day (despite it still being autumn). Today is Saturday and I’m looking forward to a weekend of hiking and relaxing and maybe just a little bit of weight-lifting. My kids have been sick for what seems like forever with these ridiculous colds, and I think we all have cabin fever. They need to go back to school ASAP. I like having some hours to myself in the day, no matter how much I love them.

But a hike is a great way to get alone time, and I live in the middle of a giant forest, so why not take advantage of it?

Before I can do that, however, let’s solve this Wordle. It’s not as hard as yesterday’s but it’s still tricky!

am deschis cu trope—love me some tropes!—and it turned out to be a pretty good guess. Only 48 solutions remained, and I had three yellow boxes. Three turned to four with my next guess, Pământ, though according to Wordle Bot ‘şevalet would have been more efficient.’ Sure thing, buddy.

Pământ brought my remaining solutions down to just 7, and then I made a guess that was oh-so-close but oh-so-wrong. Alerta seemed like a winner to me. And when the ‘A’ turned green I was hopeful. Those hopes were dashed instantly when ‘L’ popped up grey and evita was the only possible choice remaining. But hey, four ain’t bad!

Now my bone-picking with Wordle Bot commences. He got this one in just three, but look at his second guess:

Cu doar ardezie, there are still a bunch of possible answers. About as many as with my guess, figură de stil. So how on earth does Wordle Bot come up with copacit of all words? What a strange word to even consider or come up with. And, of course, it miraculously narrowed his possible remaining words to just two: evita și alerta. Making matters worse, he guesses the less obvious answer, avert, before trying the more obvious answer, alerta (L being more common than V). It all just smells fishy to me, and not good fishy. Not like the smell of halibut cooking in butter and garlic. Like rotten fish on the beach.

No Huzzahs today, folks. Avert thine ears!
