Blizzard dezvăluie cele mai populare clase „Diablo 4” din versiunea beta deschisă

Blizzard has revealed some key statistics about the Diablo IV open beta that just took place this past weekend. The beta was a massive success, at least in terms of player engagement, which bodes well for the game’s launch this coming June.

Obviously, a beta is also designed to ferret out bugs, test servers, and hopefully help pave the way for a smooth release, but I remain skeptical. Both beta weekends had major server overload, long queues, tons of crashes and numerous other problems that will almost certainly continue to be a problem if this game is a hit—which it will undoubtedly will be.

Whatever the case, let’s take a look at the massive numbers that the Diablo IV beta pulled in last weekend.

Most Popular Beta Classes

The most popular classes played during the open beta were the Sorcerer and Necromancer. Both these classes utilize powerful magic and give players an advantage by dealing damage from afar, making them potentially more lethal than melee classes like the Barbarian (or at least less dangerous to play as since you can keep a healthier distance from foes). The Necromancer is able to summon legions of undead warriors to do their bidding, which makes them somewhat overpowered.

• 61,560,437 hours played during the open beta.
• Players died a whopping 46,924,644 times.
• Fortunately, players gave better than they got, killing over 29 billion monsters.
• The World Boss Ashava killed players 10,163,397 times.
• The Butcher killed players 1,727,973 times.
• This means that both bosses got the better of players. The Butcher only died 576,662 times while Ashava died just 107,426 times.
• In very small letters it says that almost one player soloed Ashava, but streamer wudjio defeated the World Boss solo two times and there are reports that other players did as well.

All told, there was a whole lot of dying during the Open Beta, which blizzard says was the largest beta in Diablo franchise history. There will be a whole lot more bloodshed and butchery on June 6th when the game unleashes hell on the world.
