Chainlink (LINK), one of the altcoins that has attracted attention with its recent rise, has launched the Cross-Chain Interoperability Protocol (CCIP) on Base, the Coinbase Ethereum Layer 2 scaling platform.
In the post made on Chainlik’s official Twitter account, it was stated that CCIP was launched on the Base network and that this move aims to provide a secure tool for Base developers to create cross-chain applications and services that can send messages, transfer tokens and initiate other transactions over multiple blockchain networks.
Chainlink Labs Business Manager Johann Eid stated the following in his statement:

Daily transactions and new addresses on the Base network, which opened to the public on August 9, surpassed Arbitrum and Optimism.
LINK, which differentiated itself positively from the market with the increase in its price, experienced a 7% increase after the announcement. At the time of writing, LINK is trading at $7.75.
